Dancing with the High Point Stars

Dancing with the High Point Stars 2016
Winners 2Communities In Schools of High Point, Inc. is excited about our fifth annual Signature Fundraising Event, “Dancing with the High Point Stars,” and we want you to be a part of this venture. Our goal is to raise $60,000 to continue providing programs and services to students who attend some of High Point’s schools that have the highest free and/or reduced lunch percentages, a federal indicator of poverty. As a nationally accredited dropout prevention program, Communities In Schools of High Point, Inc. has a 28-year history of addressing risk factors that, if ignored, ultimately lead to students dropping out of school. To that end, last year we were able to provide services to over  8,596 students with the assistance of 1376 volunteers. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we help students realize the importance of a high school diploma as the foundation for future endeavors, but we cannot do it without community support. We believe this fundraising event will help ensure the continuing legacy of student success in our community that began under the leadership of founder, William “Bill” Horney Jr.

To our fabulous High Point community:

Thank you so very much for making the 2016 Dancing with the High Point Stars our best yet!  We had the most attendees, raised the most money, cheered the best performances, enjoyed the most beautiful venue, and had the most fun that we have ever had!  We are tremendously thankful for our dancers, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, and the High Point community for investing in this event.  The return on this investment is witnessed through our students as we fulfill the CIS mission to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. This is a success story in all ways and we deeply appreciate your contribution to that success.

Congratulations to the 2016 Dancing with the High Point Stars Winners:
