Dancing with the High Point Stars 2015 – February 28, 2015

SaveTheDate2015Communities In Schools of High Point, Inc. is excited about our fifth annual Signature Fundraising Event, “Dancing with the High Point Stars,” and we want you to be a part of this venture. Our goal is to raise $50,000 to continue providing programs and services to students who attend some of High Point’s schools that have the highest free and/or reduced lunch percentages, a federal indicator of poverty. As a nationally accredited dropout prevention program, Communities In Schools of High Point, Inc. has a 27-year history of addressing risk factors that, if ignored, ultimately lead to students dropping out of school. To that end, last year we were able to provide services to over  7,912 students with the assistance of 1098 volunteers. Now, more than ever, it is crucial that we help students realize the importance of a high school diploma as the foundation for future endeavors, but we cannot do it without community support. We believe this fundraising event will help ensure the continuing legacy of student success in our community that began under the leadership of founder, William “Bill” Horney Jr.

We would like to say, ”THANK YOU” to everyone for making Dancing with the High Point Stars 2014 such a successful event.  Thank you, to all DWTHPS dancers and to the winners: Most Votes – Trent Cockerham, Best Performance – Donna Nottoli and Best Costume – Angela McGill.
