The mission of Communities In Schools is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life.

Communities In Schools relies on support from the High Point communitity to provide the needed resources to impact student achievement. Partnerships are formed with area businesses, churches, civic groups and other organizations and agencies. Partners can choose to adopt a school or distribute their volunteers and resources over all CIS school sites. The needs of the school(s) are communicated to the partners and they choose how they would like to be involved. CIS helps both the partner and the school benefit from the involvement and ensures the partnership is valuable and accountable. Communities In Schools is always seeking new and different options for partnership to expand the capacity of schools and broaden the horizons of the students we serve. If you have an idea about how your business, community of faith, or civic group can become involved, please give us a call. We would love to hear your ideas!

Our partners include businesses, churches, civic organizations and other agencies that promote volunteerism and provide resources to CIS School Sites. We are most grateful for the support of these partners.
