Monica Peters is a native High Pointer, who loves her community.  She is on the board of the Southwest Renewal Foundation, volunteers with Feeding Lisa’s Kids, and works in Community Relations/Administration for Benefit Plan Services, Inc.  She was recently elected as City Councilwoman for Ward 3.

Monica is a graduate of Appalachian State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration as a marketing major.  While she attended ASU she worked as a ski instructor at Beech Mountain Resort, and she still loves the sport!

She is married to Alan Peters, and they have one daughter, Claire Peters.  Claire is a freshman at High Point Central and also enjoys competing in equestrian competitions!

Monica loves her community and really appreciates the impact that Community In Schools has in High Point!
