Cheridan is a native of Greensboro, NC.  She is the daughter of Jim and Brenda Rainey (deceased).  Her dad was recognized in the Legends Hall of Fame for shagging at the OD Pavilion in Myrtle Beach, SC and was known for his green shagging loafers.  Although Cheridan will not be wearing green loafers, she hopes that her dance will honor her dad’s long-past dancing days.

Cheridan graduated from UNC-G School of Nursing in 1996 and is a RN at Wake Forest High Point Medical Center where she functions as both house nursing supervisor and oncology infusion nurse.  Nursing is her passion and she loves to care for people that are in need.

In her spare time, Cheridan is very involved as a board member of Good Friends of High Point and she is also a sustainer with the Junior League of High Point.  She loves working out and gardening.  And yes, she is the crazy Christmas tree lady who starts putting the first of many Christmas trees up by the first of September.

Cheridan has been married to her soulmate, Eric, since 2010.  They both love spending time together and from September to the first of February, you can count on finding Cheridan watching football with Eric.  She loves fantasy football and has vowed to love Eric even during fantasy football season.  Go Colts!  Cheridan is the proud mother of Harrison.  Her soldier currently serves in the US Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.  Both Harrison and Eric fill Cheridan’s heart with so much love and joy.

Cheridan also loves to rescue animals.  She currently has a black Labrador (Grant), a crazy Catahoula (Henry) and a calico cat (Kitty).  Cheridan would rescue more animals if Eric would allow.

For those who know Cheridan, she lives in her comfort zone and doesn’t step out of her box much.  Dancing with the High Point Stars is a huge leap for her.  She hopes to make her family and friends proud while supporting such a great cause.
